Question 1: What is JEE Main?
Answer : JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance exam, conducted every year by CBSE for admission in Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs & Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.

Question 2: What is the JEE Main 2025 exam date?

Answer : NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 exam dates on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 exam session 1 is being held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30, 2025, while session 2 is scheduled from April 1 to 8, 2025.

Question 3: What are the eligibility criteria to appear in JEE Main 2025 Exam?
Answer : To appear in JEE Main 2025 Exam, eligibility criteria are given below.

• Age: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 2000 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years
• Education: passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2023 or 2024, or be appearing for the exam in 2025.

Answer : Yes, to appear in JEE (Advanced) a diploma holder can apply in JEE Main 2025 but his/her rank and score for JEE (Main) will not be declared as diploma holders cannot apply for admission in NITs and CFTIs through JEE (Main) channel.

Question 5: Whether the Hindi Medium paper will come in both the languages?
Answer : Yes, Hindi medium paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi medium.

Question 6: What will be the medium of Computer Based Examination?
Answer : The questions will be in both Hindi & English Language. The Candidate can also switch medium as many times as he/she wants during the examination.

Question 7: What should be the no. of subjects in 12th Board exam for writing JEE Main Exam?
Answer : Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main) – 2025.

Question 8: How many times any one can attempt in JEE Main Exams 2025?
Answer : The number of attempts to appear in JEE Main exam are limited up to 3 (Three) chances.

Question 9: What are the mode of JEE Main Exams 2025?
Answer : JEE Main exam is conducted in online mode & offline mode. It depends up on the choice of participating candidates that which mode of examination he opts during the submission of online registration of JEE Main.

Question 10: What is the JEE Main 2025 Admit Card downloading schedule?
Answer : The Admit Card for JEE main 2025 exam can be downloaded from JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in from 2nd week of March 2025 onward.

Question 11: What are the list of documents require to bring at JEE Main Exam Centre?

Answer :

• 12th Passed Students improvement: Copy of their Admit card/Hall ticket for improvement of performance in Class 12th /Qualifying Examination 2025.
  12th Passed Students: Copy of their Final marks- sheet/ marks statement of Class 12th /Qualifying Examination of year.
• 12th Appearing Students: Copy of their Admit card/Hall ticket for class 12th/Qualifying Examination 2025.
• Admit Card & ID: The Admit Card (Internet Printed) & any other identity proof or document such as Aadhar Card. In case if Aadhar Card is not issued to candidates, he must bring the same identity proof or document used for submitting the application form.
• Only for the candidates, suffering from diabetes: Allowed to carry into the examination hall the eatables like sugar tablets / fruits (like banana/apple/ orange) and transparent water bottle.
  • Note: The Candidates have to write Roll No. of JEE (Main) Examination on the copy of the document being submitted in support of class 12th/Qualifying examination.

Question 13: Is there any negative marking in JEE Main Exam?
Answer :Yes, One fourth of marks allocated to question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No Mark will be deducted for not attempting the question.
