    JEE Main 2018 exam (offline mode) was conducted on 8th April 2018 by CBSE for JEE Main Paper 1 & Paper 2. JEE Main Paper 1 was conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for B. Tech Program and Paper 2 was conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm for for B. Arch. Program. JEE Main 2018 was conducted in 248 cities across 36 states and union territories and towns in India; additionally, there were 10 exam centres abroad. This year a total of 11.5 Lakh Students Registered For JEE Main 2018. This year has seen a dip in the number of students attempting JEE. Close to 12 Lakh students appeared for this exam, as compared to the 13 Lakh last year.

    As per the official website, “Candidates should be among the top 2, 24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper 1 of JEE (Main) 2018.” Earlier, 2, 20,000 candidates were eligible for the exam.

    In terms of difficulty level, this year’s paper was similar to the last two years’ papers. According to our experts, the paper was moderately easy. A student should not have had much trouble completing the paper as well. They found similarities between the weightage of marks in this paper and the 12th standard syllabus. Physics was the easiest paper amongst the three.
